Mute and terrible, true.
quite unbearable too.
these are the words I am.

Sick of the pace of
Life and the chase of
words that say what I am.

Don't I decide some
words to choose from?
words these are. But I am.

Who knows what all that means. I just felt like I should blog, I've got time to kill.
That's an interesting phrase, time to kill. I'm going to take a stab (no pun intended) at it's origin. Perhaps, way back in the old days of America, when minorities were really the minority, I'd say, during the time of the KKK (and please don't think I side with such bigots), when men didn't have anything to do, they rustled up some minorities and killed 'em. Hence, free time became killing time. I know I'm a terrible person for thinking that, and even worse for saying/typing it, but honestly, who reads this blog anyway?

People like the internet because...

it is like praying a prayer then having it answered.

Maroon 5? More like Maroon Dive...

This has nothing to do with English class, but has anyone noticed that all of Maroon 5's songs sound the same? Or am I the only one that will admit to listening to Maroon 5? In their defense, they used to have some pretty BA songs.
Blogging is really hard to get into if you didn't grow up doing it when you were 15 to make it a habit.
I have a poetry question, sort of. More of a need for suggestions really.

The Third of July

Brisk morning air snaps of late September.
Betrayed by cooler wind, warm sunrays surrender.
Remember that Saturday I came to visit you?
My open car window let Autumn frost through.
That sunrise was amazing, so I never asked why.
Is there a reason it's as cold on the third of July?

I feel like the, Remember that Saturday line isn't that cool as well as others. Anyone have any suggestions or idea's for me?

Friday's are my day's

Ooh, baby. Emergency is a really dope story. Not dope because of the drugs, just 'cause it's cool. The drive-in movie part was my favorite and how they travel back to town, and you think they don't know what's going on, but the one guy does. It's great.

getting lost on the internet

It took me ten minutes to set up my blog. Five minutes to fill in the questionaire, and five more minutes to edit the settings.
It only took me two seconds to forget it all. I should really start writing things down and keeping track. Thankfully through some fluke of internet being the way it is, I can keep blogging (oh boy! I think).
In regards to Bob wanting us to talk a lot more for the workshop stuff, I won't cite our early class time as an excuse (that's a cop-out), but I personally am hesitent to contribute because we made such a big deal about not hurting each other's feelings and not being nit-picky, so I wasn't really sure what else to say. Am I the only one that feels that way? I don't know if what I'm thinking will hurt another students feelings, and I'm certainly not sure of what is percieved as nit-picky, so without having really anything good to say, I didn't say anything.

First Post

I read one of the stories in that vintage book of contemporary short stories, the one about the Fat Girl. By the end of it, I felt so awful for the main character, all the love and warmth that was shown to her and built around her was based on the pretense that she remain skinny. No wonder she was emotionally attached to eating. I would be too if I knew people would only love me if I were skinny, I'd need some comfort.
